Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria Town – Chogoria Gate (2,960m)

Drive Distance: 210km to Chogoria Town + 22km to Chogoria Forest | Trek Distance: 10km | Altitude Gain: +1,060m | Trek Time: 2–3 hrs
Pickup from Nairobi at 7:00 AM and drive to Chogoria Town, then transfer by 4×4 through Chogoria Forest, home to monkeys, antelope, and rich birdlife. Begin trekking through lush rainforest to Chogoria Gate. Overnight at Meru Mount Kenya Bandas near the gate.

Day 2: Chogoria Gate – Lake Ellis – Chogoria Road Head (3,300m)

Trek Distance: 10km | Altitude Gain: +340m | Trek Time: 4–5 hrs
Hike through heath forest with a scenic stop at Lake Ellis for photos. Continue to Chogoria Road Head, set along the Nithi River. After lunch, visit the nearby Nithi Waterfall before overnighting at the campsite.

Day 3: Chogoria Road Head – Mintos Hut (4,200m)
