Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria Town – Chogoria Gate (2,960m)

Pickup from Nairobi at 7:00 AM and drive to Chogoria Town on Mount Kenya’s eastern side. Meet your crew, then transfer by 4×4 through Chogoria Forest, home to monkeys, buffalo, and colourful birdlife. Trek through lush rainforest to Chogoria Gate for overnight.

Day 2: Chogoria Gate – Lake Ellis – Chogoria Road Head (3,300m)

Trek Distance: 10km | Altitude Gain: +340m | Trek Time: 4–5 hrs
Hike through heath forest, stopping at the scenic Lake Ellis for photography. Continue to Chogoria Road Head, set along the Nithi River. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Nithi Waterfall before overnighting at the campsite.
